Here is a peculiar thing about British Columbia - look at almost any map that purports to be of the province and you will find that it stops just a little north of the Yellowhead Highway (Prince Rupert to Prince George to Jasper). Almost half the provice is quietly ignored! It is true that most of the famous sights and almost all the population live south of this line, but what lies to the north is magnificent.
