Don Bain's 360° Panoramas of
Yosemite and the Central Sierra Nevada Mountains
Yosemite National Park, California
The Incomparable Valley, as geologist Francois Matthes called it, and truly it deserves the accolade, with its towering granite cliffs and astoundingly high waterfalls, wonderful forests, alpine meadows and rugged peaks. This is a huge park, running from the hot foothills to glaciated peaks, it is larger than the state of Rhode Island. A World Biosphere Reserve and UNESCO World heritage Site, it has been protected as a public park since 1863.
