I first ventured to the South Pacific with a university research expedition to Mo'orea in French Polynesia. My next visit was also on university business, to set up a computer lab there, which allowed me to take a few of my very first panoramas. Other trips have been made to Tahiti and Raiatea in the Society Islands; the Cook Islands of Rarotonga, Aitutaki and Atiu; the main island of Fiji; Western Samoa; and American Samoa. Unfortunately all these trips were before I was able to shoot digital for panoramas, so I have nothing currently to show.
My future travel in this region is hard to predict, but I hope to revisit all the places mentioned above, plus Tonga, the Tuamotus, and the Marquesas. A little further along I would like to see Micronesia, New Caledonia, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Tuvalu. In another category are the eastern Pacific islands of the Galapagos and Easter Island.
