Don Bain's 360° Panoramas of the
West Coast of Florida
The west coast of Florida was the great missed opportunity of my 2015 trip. I was there in high season and during Spring Break. Also, abnormally cold weather in the midwest and northeast was causing snowbirds to extend their stays in Florida. As a result I had extreme difficulty finding anywhere to stay - state parks, RV parks, and even hotels were all full. Reluctantly I moved through in just a couple of days for the less fraught conditions of the Everglades and Keys.
Next trip I will get organized and have a better look at the white sand beaches, the interesting metropolis of Tampa-St Petersburgh, and the smaller cities of Sarasota, Port Charlotte, Fort Myers, and Naples.
