The Dinkey Creek Siphon drops down the east wall of the canyon then climbs the west wall, crossing the Blackrock Road. It is part of PG&E's hydroelectric system on the North Fork of the King's River.

This sidehill viaduct (bridge) begins a one-lane stretch of the road from Balch Camp to Black Rock Reservoir. If you meet another vehicle on the narrow stretch ahead someone will have to back up.
