360° VR Panoramas of theAlabama Gulf Coast
Bellingrath Gardens
South of Mobile, Alabama

These famous gardens were created by Mr and Mrs Walter Bellingrath, first as their weekend retreat, then their main home. Beginning in 1934 they opened the gardens to the public.

Walter Bellingrath made a huge fortune as a Coca Cola bottler. The gardens were his wife's project, but he took it over after her death, and eventually set it up as a charitable foundation. It is best known for its spring azalea bloom, and its Christmas illuminations.
