Butano State Park
In the Santa Cruz Mountains, California

Few people seem to know about Butano, maybe because it is only accessible from the ocean side of the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was created in 1957 to protect a 4000 acre tract of second growth redwoods from further logging. It has a nice network of trails and a gem of a campground.
