360° VR Panoramas of Lake Tahoe, Northern Sierra, and the Gold Country
Foresthill
Tahoe National Forest, California

Foresthill is a rambling community located just off the main highway corridor. Roads lead from there into the rugged forests of Tahoe National Forest. A notable feature is the 730-foot high Foresthill Bridge, built to cross Auburn Lake, which does not exist. The Auburn Dam project was cancelled due to concerns about seismic safety.

The northernmost grove of giant Sequoias is located here, and consists of just six mature trees. A row of younger trees were planted.
