360° VR Panoramas of the Northern California Coast, Coast Ranges, and Redwood Highway
Jenner Headlands State Reserve
North of the Russian River, Sonoma County, California

South of Fort Ross the coast highway climbs high above the ocean, a twisting narrow road that many find very scary. In recent years it has been widened and many of the chronic landslides stabilized.

A major state land purchase now extends protection from near Fort Ross to the mouth of the Russian River. When state funds are available, it will be developed and opened as Jenner Headlands State Park.
