360° VR Panoramas of Lassen Volcanic Park and the Modoc Plateau
Lassen Peak Summit Trail
Lassen Volcanic National Park, California

The trail to the summit of Lassen Park was originally built in 1931 by the CCC. In 2011 there was a fatal accident which led to a complete reconstruction of the trail, re-opened in August 2015.

The trail climbs steadily for more than 2000 feet to the summit at 10,463 feet. The view from the top includes many volcanic features in the foreground. Further off are Mount Shasta, the Klamth-Trinity mountains, the northern Sacramento Valley, the Sutter Buttes, and Lake Almanor.
