360° VR Panoramas of Santa Cruz, Monterey, Big Sur and the Central Coast
Lucia on the Big Sur coast
On the Big Sur coast, California

Lucia is not even a village, just a restaurant, shop, and lodge, but it is the only commercial establishment on the central Big Sur coast. The location is stunning, though precarious. There is an old "No Hippies Allowed" sign inside the store - I remember when it was outside and they meant it.

Lucia Lodge was built in the 1930's, even before the coastal highway was built, and still belongs to the fifth generation of the original family.
