360° VR Panoramas of the San Joaquin Valley
Merced and the University of California Merced
Merced County, California

The city of Merced is too far from the Bay Area to share in the growth of communities to the north such as Modesto, and remained an agricultural service center until the early 21st century. Then, after years of vigorous effort, the tenth campus of the University of California opened nearby in 2005.
