Old Sacramento's alphabet streets
Old Sacramento State Historic Park, California

The alphabet streets (I, J, K, and L) in Old Sacramento are now only two blocks long, cut off by the freeway. Originally they extended continuously into newer neighborhoods in the modern downtown. At the north end of Old Sacramento I street is the site of the Sacramento Historical Museum, the Huntington and Hopkins Hardware store, and the California State Railroad Museum. K Street continues inland from Second Street as a pedestrian underpass of Interstate 5.
