360° VR Panoramas of the Northern California Coast, Coast Ranges, and Redwood Highway
Port of Eureka
Humboldt Bay, California

Eureka is the leading seaport between San Francisco and Coos Bay. There is a sizeable fishing fleet here, based on Woodley Island, reached by the bridge and causeway to Samoa.

As with all other west coast ports, these are hard times for fishermen. Near shore fish stocks are depleted and strictly regulated, salmon runs shrink every year.
