360° VR Panoramas of Marin and the North Bay Counties
San Quentin Prison and Village
Marin County, California

The huge grim prison at San Quentin is well known, with its 5000 inmates, including over 500 on "Death Row". The prison dates back to 1852 and began with a prison ship moored at the point.

Far less well known is San Quentin Village, a single street of houses of varying ages along the street leading to the prison gate. A prime piece of real estate in Marvellous Marin, but the view of the prison so close is a bit creepy.
