360° VR Panoramas of Santa Cruz, Monterey, Big Sur and the Central Coast
Wilder Ranch State Park
North of Santa Cruz, California

This is an unusual state park - it contains 12% of all the Brussels sprouts cultivation in the entire country. In addition to historic ranch buildings and a good stretch of coastline, the park has miles of trails and several unpublicized caves.

The Wilder family operated a dairy farm here until 1969. It was bought by the state in 1974. The adjacent Gray Whale Ranch has also been acquired, for a total of 7000 acres extending from the coast far up into the Santa Cruz Mountains.
