Next Region: Savannah and Southern Georgia
Alabama's share of the Gulf of Mexico coastline is meager, just a bit on each side of Mobile Bay. I managed to see some of it on my 2015 trip, including a ferry ride across the mouth of the bay, and a visit to famous Bellingrath Gardens. Mobile got squeezed out of my plans, I drove through on I-10 without stopping, just getting an intriguing glimpse.
